ACC Deputy Director Akhtarul Islam told reporters at Segunbagicha in the capital that while he was a member of parliament, Mamunur Rashid acquired assets worth around Tk 495.4 million undeclared and suspicious transactions worth Tk 211.56 million were found in 22 bank accounts.

His wife Jasmine Akhter also acquired assets inconsistent with his known income of Tk 18.3 million. Cases have been filed against them under various sections of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Prevention of Corruption Act.
