A tight security situation was seen in the court area between 8:30 and 9:00 am on Monday. At the slightest suspicion, pedestrians are stopped and their identity cards and bags are checked. Multi-layered security has been tightened in the entire area as a 'high-risk morning' centered around the verdict. Patrols and searches from ICT to High Court intersection, from the main gate of the Supreme Court to the Mazar Gate have increased much more than usual. Precautions such as stopping motorcycles to check documents and asking pedestrians' directions are evident in the entire environment.
The presence of the army is more visible at the Mazar Gate; additional RAB members are deployed inside the court area. BGB patrols continue throughout the Supreme Court area.
A female lawyer from Moghbazar said, "I had to open and show my bag in two places—I have never seen such a day before." Another shopkeeper said that the environment has been completely different since morning; people are asked where they are going just by standing there.
Entry into the tribunal is also strict—no one is being allowed to enter without permission. In the words of a security guard in charge, “There is no room for concessions today.”
On the other hand, due to the initiative to show the verdict on the big screen, surveillance has been increased in various parts of the city and members of the intelligence agencies have taken positions at important points.
