Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury made this comment while speaking at a program organized at a hotel in Chittagong on Friday (November 14) afternoon.
He said that only an elected government can solve all the problems that have accumulated in the country - through parliament. It is not possible for any unelected government to deal with these crises.
Amir Khasru also mentioned that the main demand of the people at present is to organize a festive election by ensuring a democratic environment. People are no longer interested in small issues; their only goal is the election.
In the words of this BNP standing committee member, many of the current problems can be solved if the people return their power and right to choose their representatives through elections and if the democratic system is re-established.
He also said that it is the responsibility of the government and the law enforcement agencies to handle any situation surrounding the verdict of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is absconding, in a case related to crimes against humanity on the 17th. He also commented that this is not the responsibility of any political party. According to him, the country must come out of such a political culture.
