The fire broke out in front of Ramna Police Station around 11am on Wednesday (November 12), said Ramna Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Faruk.
He said that the fire suddenly broke out when a fault occurred in the battery connection of the vehicle while it was being worked on. The fire was later brought under control quickly.
The OC also said that the accident occurred due to the carelessness of the vehicle mechanic. However, there were no casualties.
