At least 40 people were killed and 208 injured in a day of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip. The Anadolu news agency reported, citing the Palestinian Health Ministry, that the total death toll in Gaza had risen to 54,510 as of Tuesday (June 3) and the number of injured had reached 124,901.
The Health Ministry said in a statement that many people were still trapped in the rubble and could not be reached.
Israel resumed air and ground attacks on Gaza on March 18, violating the ceasefire agreement. Since then, 4,240 Palestinians have been killed and 12,860 injured.
It is worth noting that in November 2023, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
