Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H. Mansur inaugurated the service at a function organized at the Westin Hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday. US Ambassador-in-Charge Tracy N. Jacobson and City Bank Vice Chairman Hossain Khaled were special guests at the function.

In addition, City Bank Managing Director and CEO Masrur Arefin, Google Payments Group Product Manager Shammi Quddus, Mastercard Bangladesh Country Manager Syed Mohammad Kamal and Visa Bangladesh Country Manager Sabbir Ahmed, along with senior officials from various organizations were also present at the function.

Governor Ahsan H. Mansur said, "Bangladesh Bank is encouraging digital transformation in the financial sector. As transparency increases with the spread of digital transactions, the path to creating a cashless society will also be paved, which will accelerate financial inclusion."
