So far, 250 Bangladeshis have registered to return home from Iran. According to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the first phase, plans have been made to return women, children and Bangladeshis who went to Iran for medical treatment.

Those registered at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran will be taken to Taftan in Balochistan, Pakistan, via Iran's Marjaveh border. From there, there are plans to bring them back to Dhaka via Karachi via Dubai transit. In addition to the Karachi-Dubai route, alternative routes are also being considered. The time and process of starting the journey depend on the local situation.

Dhaka has already provided the information of 90 people on the initial list to the Pakistani government. Approval has also been given from the highest levels of the government to return Bangladeshis via this route.

Currently, about 2,000 Bangladeshis are staying in Iran, of whom 400 are in Tehran. The number of registered Bangladeshis is 672, of which 66 are students. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on those interested in returning home to register at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran.
