GMP has arrested four people in connection with the attack on NCP leader Hasnat Abdullah in Gazipur. The detainees are Gazipur Metropolitan Jubo League's Nizam Uddin and Kashimpur Police Station Sheikh Russell Shishu Kishore Parishad President Masum Ahmed Dipu. The identities of the rest have not been confirmed.

Hasnat's car was attacked in the Chandana Chowrasta area of ​​Gazipur on Sunday evening. He was injured in the incident with his hand cut. He was later taken to Dhaka.

NCP leaders and activists held a protest march at Bangla Motor in the capital at night in protest of the attack and demanded justice for the attackers within 24 hours.
