In a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday (May 12) morning, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman called on leaders and activists to be patient, tolerant, trust in Allah and steadfast in justice.

He wrote, "Since independence, the overall situation in the country has never reached the desired level, but rather, many undesirable and unacceptable incidents are currently taking place in society and politics. In this situation, he advised leaders and activists not to get involved in any provocation or unpleasant incident."

Expressing optimism, he wrote, "Everyone will understand the importance of the matter and I believe that Allah Almighty will help us."

In the post, he also shared a prayer:

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakil, ni'mal mawla wa ni'man nasir (May Allah suffice us, and may He be the best of the trustees, and may He be the best of the helpers).
