Israel has been conducting a military operation in Gaza since October 2023, which has not yet stopped. The attacks continue despite international calls for a ceasefire. More than 56,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past 20 months, most of them women and children.
In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant on war crimes charges. In addition, a genocide case in Gaza is ongoing at the International Court of Justice.
