Israel has launched a new deadly attack on Gaza, and the aggression is not stopping. On Thursday (April 25), local time, more than fifty Palestinians were killed in bombardments in various areas, including 12 members of the same family and three children. The busy market area of Jabalia was also attacked.
According to the British daily The Guardian, Israel has secretly canceled the "humanitarian zone" in Gaza. Although Al-Mawasi, Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah were declared safe since December, attacks have recently begun in those areas as well. This has put millions of people who have taken refuge in the hope of safety in danger again.
At the same time, there is a severe food crisis in Gaza. In a soup kitchen in Beit Lahia, many people are seen standing with empty pots for food. The Israeli ban on the entry of relief supplies since March has closed most bakeries, food in the markets has run out, and emergency aid activities have almost stopped.
Meanwhile, the presidents of Poland and Israel discussed the Gaza war and the hostage issue at the 'March of the Living' event in Auschwitz, Poland, on Thursday. While the Polish president expressed hope for an end to the conflict, the Israeli president compared the situation in Gaza to the genocide of World War II.
On the other hand, Spain has canceled a $7.5 million deal to buy ammunition from Israel. The country's left-wing political coalition had threatened to leave the government over the arms deal.
