On Sunday (June 22) at 5:45 am Bangladesh time, US President Donald Trump said in a message on the social media platform Truth Social that the United States had successfully attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran.

The international media outlet BBC also confirmed the authenticity of this information in a report.

Trump said that US warplanes had successfully attacked Iran's Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities and that they were now outside Iranian airspace.

In a post on Truth Social, he wrote,

“We have completed a very successful attack on three of Iran's nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All aircraft are now safely outside Iranian airspace.”

He also claimed,

“The Fordow facility was bombed with full force. All our aircraft are now on their way back to the United States. Congratulations to our great American warriors! No other force in the world could have done such a thing. Now is the time for peace.”

Iran's Warning and Response

Before the attack, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the United States against engaging in a war with Israel, saying,

"If the United States directly participates in this war on the side of Israel, it will be 'extremely dangerous for everyone.'"

He made the comments while speaking to reporters in Istanbul after talks with European diplomats in Geneva. The Associated Press (AP) confirmed this information in a report.

Araghchi said,

"The active participation of the United States could cause irreparable damage to them."

Khamenei's warning

Earlier, in a televised speech on June 18, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned the United States,

"If military action is taken against Iran, America will suffer irreparable damage."

The response to the attack has spread worldwide concern and the risk of new conflict in the Middle East is increasing.
