Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that they do not want to put any pressure on the chief advisor regarding the elections. He is not an opponent, but a guardian of the government, so everyone's responsibility is to cooperate with him.

Participating in the session of Jamaat's central Majlish-e-Shura in the capital on Saturday (May 24), he said that Jamaat is keeping a close eye on the recent political unrest. Pushing the nation towards uncertainty is in no way acceptable.

He called for an all-party meeting with all political parties and said that the problem can be solved through discussions.

Regarding the elections, the Jamaat Ameer said that in the past, farce has been made in the name of elections, people's voting rights have been taken away. This time, the elections must be held in a way that reflects the verdict of the people - fair, impartial and acceptable.

He complained that no roadmap for reforms and elections has been published so far and urged the government to publish it soon.

On the humanitarian corridor and Chittagong port issues, he said that these decisions are related to national security. Instead of taking a sudden decision, it should be discussed with political parties and experts or left to the elected government.

He also said that the entire force should be kept out of political controversy due to the actions of any member of the army. It is important to keep the army out of political controversy.
