He said that BNP has been demanding a clear and specific national electoral roadmap from the beginning to restore democracy. To ensure fair, free and impartial elections, it is essential to maintain the neutrality of the government, and for that reason, the advisory council must be restructured by removing controversial advisors.

Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain also said that BNP leaders and activists have been the most victims of personal, family and political oppression. Therefore, the Awami League's demand for justice comes most strongly from BNP. If this justice process remains incomplete, then it will be completed through an independent judiciary after the formation of the BNP government.

He also said that the people of the country believe that the main responsibility of the interim government is to complete the transition to democracy through a free and impartial election. If the election is delayed unnecessarily, it will create the fear of a repeat of dictatorship in the country. The then government and its related people must take responsibility for such a situation.

He clarified that BNP never demanded the resignation of the chief advisor. Rather, BNP has been providing full support to this interim government from the beginning.
