Chief Advisor To Visit Thailand

Today (Thursday, April 3) at 9 am, Principal Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and his entourage will leave Dhaka on a Bangladesh Airlines flight. They will depart for Bangkok from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.


After reaching Bangkok, at 3 pm local time, Dr. Yunus will participate in the BIMSTEC Youth Generation Forum Conference and deliver a speech there. The next day, Friday (April 4), he will join the BIMSTEC Summit.


During this visit, the Principal Advisor will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of BIMSTEC member states, including India. He will participate in the signing of two MoUs during the summit.

Putting all the speculations to rest, finally, Principal Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are going to hold bilateral talks. The two leaders will hold a private meeting on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok on Friday, April 4. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3:45 pm Bangkok time.


In addition, on the third day of the summit, Bangladesh will formally assume the chairmanship of BIMSTEC for the next two years. Today, a ministerial meeting will be held among BIMSTEC member states.
