BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors Professor Patrick Kennedy and Professor Jennifer Cross at The London Clinic in Devonshire Place, London.

On January 8, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia went to London in a royal air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for advanced treatment. After arriving at Heathrow International Airport, she was directly admitted to The London Clinic by ambulance. After 17 days of treatment there, the doctors gave her a discharge certificate on the condition that she return to the house of her son, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

This time, after a long eight years, Khaleda Zia celebrated Eid with her family members in London. The 79-year-old former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various physical ailments including liver cirrhosis, kidney, heart, diabetes, and arthritis for a long time.

This is Khaleda Zia's third Eid celebration in London this year. After eight years, he celebrated Eid at the house of his son, acting chairman Tarique Rahman. Earlier, in 2017, he celebrated Eid-ul-Azha by going to London for medical treatment. In 2015, he celebrated Eid with his family in London after almost eight years after the 11th.
