Although the political parties' proposals for state reforms after the July Revolution have raised hopes, the BNP says they are in favor of reforms, but they will not accept them if the elections are delayed in the name of it.

The party leaders said that the elections should be held within January, because after that, time will be reduced due to fasting, heat, and SSC exams.

BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu said, 'Reforms are not possible in a day, it is an ongoing process.' And standing committee member Amir Khasru said that it is possible to provide a roadmap for the elections by publishing the proposals of all parties, reaching a consensus within a month, and signing the July Charter.

Another member of the standing committee, Salahuddin Ahmed, said, 'If elections are held under the interim government by December, it will be fair and impartial.'

The BNP's position is clear - reforms will continue, but we want elections on time.
