Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman paid a courtesy call on Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday (March 30).

During the meeting, the Army Chief highlighted the steps taken by the army to ensure overall security of the country ahead of the upcoming Eid.

He informed the Chief Advisor about the plan to ensure safe services on all roads, including launch terminals, train stations, and bus stands, as well as to facilitate communication with workers in industrial areas.

In addition, he announced the organization of Iftar and Doa Mahfil in all cantonments of the country in honor of those injured in the July Uprising, and spoke about the Bangladesh Army's initiative to provide financial assistance to the families of injured and martyred soldiers.

At the end of the meeting, the Army Chief extended advance Eid greetings to the Chief Advisor. The Chief Advisor praised the professionalism and role of the army and provided necessary guidance in their future activities, expressing hope that the army will relentlessly fulfill its responsibilities to ensure the country's sovereignty and security.
