Consecutive Bus Fires in Dhaka — What’s Behind the Blaze?

A fire broke out in two buses in the capital's Merul Badda and Shahjadpur areas in the early hours of Monday (November 10). On receiving the information, two units of the Fire Service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Rashed Bin Khalid, Duty Officer of the Fire Service Control Room, confirmed the matter to the media, "We received information at around 5:40 am that two Victor Paribahan buses were set on fire in the Merul Badda and Shahjadpur areas. Later, our two units went there and quickly brought the fire under control."

He also said, "It is not yet confirmed how the buses caught fire. We have not received any information in this regard. There are also no reports of any casualties.
