The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the National Eidgah Maidan on Saturday (June 7) morning. The congregation will start at 7:30 am, said Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Shahjahan Mia.
He gave this information at a briefing organized on Eid congregation, sacrificial animal market and waste management on Thursday (June 5) morning.
He said that about 35,000 worshippers will be able to offer Eid prayers together at the National Eidgah located on the High Court premises. However, if the weather is unfavorable, the main congregation of the Eid will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8 am.
Regarding waste management, the DSCC administrator said that preparations have been made to remove all waste within 12 hours of the sacrifice.
Meanwhile, a press release from the Islamic Foundation said that five Eid congregations will be held at the Baitul Mukarram Mosque. The first congregation will be held at 7 am, followed by the second, third, fourth and fifth congregations at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am and 10:45 am respectively.
