Corona infection has started increasing again around the world. New sub-variants of the virus are being identified. In this situation, the Directorate General of Health has strengthened precautionary measures in the country.
At a press conference on Wednesday (June 11) afternoon, the Director General of the Directorate, Professor Dr. Abu Zafar, said that the risk of spreading the infection in the country through international travelers is increasing. Therefore, the International Health Regulations (IHR) desks of all land, sea and airports have been activated and instructions have been given to ensure hygiene.
7 suggestions have been given to the public to prevent infection:
1. Avoid public gatherings, wear a mask if necessary
2. Use a mask regularly
3. Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing and coughing
4. Throw used tissues in a covered basket
5. Wash your hands with soap and water or sanitizer for 20 seconds
6. Avoid touching your face, eyes and nose
7. Maintain a distance of at least 3 feet from the infected
In addition, RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests are being started again to ensure corona detection and treatment. Instructions have been given to keep vaccines, medicines, oxygen, ventilators, ICUs and dedicated hospitals ready. Measures have also been taken to ensure PPE, KN-95 masks and face shields for health workers providing services.
