The much-awaited meeting between Dr. Muhammad Yunus and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman began at 2:00 PM Bangladesh time on June 13 (Friday) at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane, London.

Many are seeing this meeting as the beginning of a possible turning point in overcoming the current political deadlock in Bangladesh. There was clear excitement and hope among the leaders and activists of the UK BNP surrounding the meeting.

Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam expressed optimism that the meeting would be fruitful and that the discussions could yield positive messages for Bangladesh's political progress.
