On Tuesday (June 3) afternoon, Executive Engineer of the Jamuna Bridge Site Office, Ahsanul Kabir Pavel, said that the pressure of passengers and vehicles has increased during the Eid journey, but the situation is under control.

The Jamuna Bridge Authority said that 30,167 vehicles crossed the bridge in the 24 hours from 12 midnight on Sunday (June 1) to 12 midnight on Monday (June 2). Of these, 15,398 vehicles were heading to North Bengal, from which a toll of Tk 13,713,550 was collected. There were 14,769 vehicles heading to Dhaka, from which a toll of Tk 13,832,400 was collected.

Engineer Ahsanul Kabir said that a total of 18 toll booths, nine each on both sides of the Jamuna Bridge, are operational to ensure smooth travel. Of these, two separate booths have been set up on each side for motorcycles.
