Environment Advisor Rizwana Hasan made this information after exchanging views with a Chinese expert delegation on air pollution control at the Secretariat on Monday (June 30).

She said that initiatives have been taken to complete the repair work of the city's dilapidated roads before the coming winter or October, so that the amount of dust can be controlled during the winter season. In addition, old expired vehicles will be removed from the roads in stages. In addition, a decision has been taken to purchase 250 new environmentally friendly vehicles.

The Environment Advisor further said that short, medium and long-term plans are being taken to prevent air pollution. For this purpose, initiatives have been taken to work on the basis of coordination between various organizations and a decision has been made to form a working committee.
