On Tuesday (May 13), National Identity Registration Division (NID) Director General ASM Humayun Kabir said that NID's online activities are temporarily suspended as the required one-time password (OTP) was not received during login to the server. However, the work of taking photos and collecting biometric information is ongoing.

He said, "The server is not down, there is a problem in the system of the OTP service provider. Work is underway to resolve the issue, and all activities will resume once it is resolved.
