He made the call at a meeting with top leaders of 14 political parties at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday (July 26).

Dr. Yunus said, “The defeated forces are plotting to sabotage the elections. They want to disrupt the electoral system through conflict and chaos. All democratic and anti-fascist forces must remain united to stop this attempt.”

He warned, “If we fail to organize an acceptable election collectively, this historic opportunity will be missed. This is not just an election—it has brought us to the brink of rebuilding democracy.”

The chief advisor further said, “The defeated groups are creating instability whenever they get the opportunity. Every time we prepare for the elections, new conspiracies start. But they will not be able to stop the democratic progress, because the anti-fascist unity is now strong and clear.”

He expected active cooperation from all political parties to organize fair elections. The leaders present at the time also assured him of all-out cooperation.

The meeting was attended by:

Aminul Haque Tipu Biswas of the National Gano Front, Mustafa Jamal Haider of the 12-party alliance, Maulana Abdul Majed Athari of the Nejam-e-Islam Party, Maulana Yusuf Ashraf of the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Fariduzzaman Farhad of the National People's Party, Dr. Mushtaq Hossain of the Bangladesh Jasd, Bobby Hajjaj of the Nationalist Democratic Movement, Mufti Sakhawat Hossain Razi of the Islami Oikya Jote, Rafiqul Islam Bablu of the Bhashani Janashakti Party, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran of the Bangladesh Labor Party, Masud Rana of the Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (Marxist) and Manjurul Islam Afendi of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
