Classes have started in all government and private primary schools and madrasas in the country from today after the long holidays of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. In addition, secondary schools will open from tomorrow, Wednesday (April 9).
This information has been revealed from the academic calendar published by the Ministry of Education. In addition, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSH), the Department of Madrasa Education and the Department of Primary Education have also confirmed this information.
Many educational institutions have already shared the notice of school opening after the government holidays on their websites and official Facebook pages.
Primary Schools:
Primary school holidays began on February 26 with the fast of Sri Sri Shivaratri. Ramadan holidays began on February 27 and after that, Shubh Doljatra, Independence Day, the advent of Sri Sri Harichand Thakur, Shab-e-Qadr, Jumatul Bida and Eid-ul-Fitr, primary schools were opened on Monday (April 7). However, classes were closed in primary schools that day in solidarity with the 'Global Strike for Gaza' program. Classes have resumed in full swing in primary schools from today, Tuesday (April 8).
Secondary:
All secondary schools in the country were closed on March 2 on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, before which there were weekly holidays (Friday and Saturday) on February 28 and March 1. As a result, long holidays began in secondary schools from February 27. After Eid-ul-Fitr, after a 40-day holiday, classes will resume in full swing in secondary schools from Wednesday (April 9).
Madrasa:
Classes have also resumed in the country's madrasas from today after a holiday of about one and a half months. The madrasas were closed due to the holy month of Ramadan from February 25 and opened today after 42 days until April 7. The Madrasa Education Department has instructed to resume classes in full swing from today.
Colleges:
The holidays of colleges under the National University ended on April 3 and there were weekly holidays on April 4 and 5. As a result, classes have started in colleges from April 6. There were no classes on April 7 due to the no work, no school program. Classes have started again in colleges from today. However, colleges that are connected to secondary schools, that is, schools and colleges, will open on Wednesday (April 9) and classes will start there.
