Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman made this comment on the ninth day of the hearing of the appeal regarding the abolition of the caretaker government system on Thursday (November 6).

The Attorney General said that the arguments behind the abolition of the caretaker government system were purposeful and misleading. In his words, if there is a word more than the word 'bad' as opposed to 'good', then it can be said that the abolition of this system has created a more terrible situation in the country.

Earlier on Wednesday (November 5), the hearing on behalf of the BNP was concluded by a seven-member appeal bench led by Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed.

On that day, BNP lawyer Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal said that the verdict to abolish the caretaker government system was tantamount to cheating the nation. According to him, even if the verdict came before the upcoming national elections, the 13th parliamentary elections should be held under the interim government.

Senior lawyer Zainul Abedin heard the appeal filed against the caretaker government on Tuesday (November 4) for the BNP. Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman was present for the state at the time.
