On Monday (June 9), Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ilias Khan said that five bodies were recovered in the Sadar Police Station area and another body was recovered from the Penchardwip area of Himchhari in Ramu Upazila.
According to police and eyewitnesses, Md. Rajib of Chittagong went for a bath at Sea-Gal Point on Sunday afternoon and was swept away. His body was recovered late at night.
On Monday afternoon, a father and son drowned while taking a bath together at Simon Beach Point. They are Shahinur Rahman (60) and his son Sifat (20) from Rajshahi. When their bodies were recovered and brought to Sadar Hospital, the doctor declared them dead.

Saifullah Sifat, a senior worker of Sea-Safe Lifeguard, said that during the monsoon season, 'secret canals' are being formed on the beach due to mountain erosion. Tourists are facing accidents if they ignore the warnings and go for a bath.
